Association Management as a career path

None of us had a clear career path set in front of us for working in Associations. Most of us ended up working in our respective organisations by chance, and until recently, there was no Executive Education Programme in Europe dedicated to Association Management.

While some Association Leaders have stayed within the same sector, or even the same Association, throughout their careers, others have switched to different Associations across Industries. All career paths are unique, just as all Associations are unique, but we can still learn from each other's trajectories, their challenges and how the overcame them, and what the future holds for Association Management as it becomes more professionalised.
