From 1 January 2026, all Belgian organisations with a VAT number, including Associations, will be required to issue and receive structured electronic invoices for B2B transactions. PDF invoices sent by email will no longer be accepted under the new legal framework.
To help Associations understand and prepare for this change, ESAE is organising a dedicated session in collaboration with EY Law Belgium. We will address key questions raised by our members, including:
What is an e-invoice, and why does it apply to Associations?
What are the deadlines? Is an extension still possible?
Who is responsible – the Association, the invoicing provider, or the invoicing platforms?
