EVENT REPORT
As the first ESAE event hosted in Paris, this session marked a turning point, not just
geographically, but conceptually. Kicking off the discussion, ESAE President Mohamed
Mezghani highlighted a crucial evolution in how Associations view their events.
Beyond their immediate objectives, conferences and congresses are increasingly expected to
leave a trace, be that a new practice introduced, a regulation debated, a partnership launched,
or a community engaged. In a fast-changing world, legacy created by events and activities
offers Associations a framework to ensure that their work continues to resonate long after the
final session ends.
Throughout the session, the discussion focused on how legacy can be embedded in planning
from the outset, aligning the mission of Associations with the strengths and needs of the host
destination. The conversation brought together expert perspectives and practical illustrations
of what it takes to design events that generate real, measurable, and lasting value.
